Re: Random Datsik Recreation

Imo too much reverb, but the main reason I had to comment was:
I figured out the notes and used my bass and wallah
Sorry I have to correct you on this. It's Voilà, wallah is derived from the Arabian language and is used to emphasize a word or sentence.

If that even is what you meant lol!

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

@VirusTI The beginning sounds pretty neat, the bass sounds, I like. but the Adele melody somehow doesn't fit in, since the bass is more percussive than melodic. @Crimsonghost If you are going for such a strange style, Id demand a more complex bass, with more autmation. Ofc there are some flaws to th...

Re: Andi Vax - Mixing Secrets // Answers

Is watching this worthwhile for an amateur at mixdowns? I can't watch any of it right now but I'm just wondering if I should check it out later. I learned something in the first 8 minutes. Also a question: In the video he is using a plugin to make the mix mono. Is there another way to do that in Cu...

Really?
Stop being ignorant, I have made several posts in this thread where i left feedback to others.
Why do you assume I haven't?

I'd like some feedback on this one.
I am interested in hearing what you think about the overall mixdown.

@axxessdenied

Some nice ideas right there man!
I was confused by the kick, too. it is so powerful compared to the guitar. I would try to add more high end to the guitar since it drowns in the mix a bit. Also I like the idea of a 808 sub at 1:05

Re: Not all drum tracks need compression

i sidechain the dry/wet mix of distortion (or eq as well for added character) so the effect kicks in at the start of the drum hit and turns off as the sound progresses, gives it a better transient without increasing the db amount in anyway. then getting it to sit better in a mix is just mixdown tec...

Re: How to create rolling bongo filled minimal dungeon?

Do you use a vsti for your percussion? I always have my percussion in battery and of course the kicks and snares on separate audio channels. Battery gives you some great options to make your percussion come alive even though you aren't a drummer. Try for example the humanize option, I'm not a fan of...

Re: Windows PC destroyed, switching to Mac (and logic)

I got a late 2009 macbook, still with a Intel dual core 2,0 ghz only but this shit runs everything so smooth you'd think it was brand new. Seriously you wouldn't believe me that this one is about 4 years old. My point being: If the size of the screen isn't a matter, then you should be happy with the...

Re: hardware synths that are good for synthetic choirs/voice

I like Logic's Choirs but there are a lot of different and probably better plugins out there.

East West got a couple good ones i think .

There are some rather big sample libraries (about 20gb). Haven't tried them but I guess if you want to sound as real as possible it take up some space.
