Party speakers

Sup I've been thinking over purchasing 2x 300W speakers for some parties and I bumped into some cheap ones. Here they are. I can see there is a jack output in the back so basically I could just plug them to my audio interface with jack-jack cables. (E-MU 0202) Will it work? Won't I bust my audio int...

Samsung for production

Hey
It's finally the time I can buy my own laptop.
I decided to buy Samsung RF511 with 8 gb ram, Intel Core i7-2630QM 2.00 - 2.90 GHz processor, 640gb HDD (windows 7)
Will it do for music production? :)
There it is The site is in polish, unfortunately

Re: E-MU 0202 audio interface problem

I switched from FL Studio to Ableton in which these random distortions started bothering me.
But recently they have been more frequent.
I work at 10ms buffer rate but it happens on every parameter. When it happens, I switch from 10ms to 12 ms and so on.

May it be that my comp is too overloaded?

E-MU 0202 audio interface problem

Hey
Recently I've been having these problems with my interface. It randomly overdrives the signal whenever I use the DAW (ableton).
It works fine again when I change the buffer rate. (I usualy work at 10ms).
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Please help :(

Re: What to resample

Oh, okay, that clears it up a bit. People say they resample to get dirtier/ more aggresive bass sound. Wouldn't they achieve the same effect by putting all the effects on vst track? Because as far as I'm concerned it looks like this: sound synthesis -> resampling -> adding effects -> ( resampling ->...

What to resample

Hey
What do you guys resample? I'm not used to this technique and I have all my synths as vsts..
I don't know when and what to resample.. it demotivates me in a way :(
Do you resample one note from your basslines or the whole part?

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

Hey guys

I'm gonna have my first DJ Show in 3 days and I wanted to ask a question about DJing in Ableton.
I got all the songs prepared, warped and stuff, but they all have different volume levels. Is there any way to make them quicky equally loud? Or do I have to mess with every clip's volume?

What do you treat your wobble with?

I just wanted to ask you guys like when you have your wobbles or midrange bass done in massive or any other vst and then it's time to add some plugins to make it thicker or more alive. What do you use for that?

I know detuning can do such things, but it's actually just a bit detuned. I don't get it.. can anyone help? ;d oh, I fo...

Banger Mix

Hey guys I'm getting kinda pissed off because I'm afraid I'll never be able to mix my song to become face-hitting bangers. I don't mean I want them as aggressive as possible but I just want them to sound good..to sound full. Is it more the matter of mastering? This is my latest tune, and I would rea...

Complextro question

Hey, so I kinda started a couple electro/complextro/whatevro projects where sounds cross over each other, but I don't know how to make it sound more natural, 'cause for now it sounds artificial, all the sounds end right where the steps end. How to get that kinda natural vibe into it? Sidechaining ma...

Build-up fx methods

What are the fx you use for a build-up?
I've been using a lot of eq'ed white noise LP filtered but I'm fed up with it.
What do you guys do? :)
