Ok...

That's not what I said exactly.... But I've not been blown away by their demos at NAM (from what I saw), or the sound examples of it on their website (and that's supposed to be showcasing the product). :(

Re: Arturia Minibrute

As OP said the demos are pretty shit. Which is a real shame, as it's somewhat put me off this machine. So I'll prolly be looking at the Moog Minotaur instead, which sounds tons better in the low end (from the demos anyway).

Re: PC or Mac?

Macs are way over priced (yes I do use one for Logic). Unless you want something specific for a mac get a PC instead (imo).

I should clarify, I have both.

That's cool...Nice one. I guess you are one of the lucky ones.

I thought I had a bad set up or something, but then I noticed loads of people were complaining on the Abe forums as well. Seems to be lot out there unfortunately...

Re: Able-ton NOT crash all the time?

That's one of the reasons that I dumped it went over to Logic, because it was so unstable :(... Not that Logic never crashes, but it's only quarter of the time compared to the dreaded Ableton Live (or dead as the case may be). Was bit pissed after all the cash I paid for it.

Re: Question to fellow logic users

When I'm making my initial drum sounds through layering. I generally put them in the arrangement window (in wavs) and then eq, etc. Once that's done, and I'm happy(ish) with the sounds, then I bring them into Geist or Ultrabeat. These are then sent out to their own channels for individual processing.

Re: Whats better Zebra or Albino

I like Albino and think it's a great wee synth.

But just to chime in with the OPs - Omnisphere is fantastic.

Re: Software Decisions

They are all great...To my ears anyway Omni is th fattest soft synth that I've ever heard. Maybe it's not got all the modulation options, but that's what your sampler is for. :) The FF stuff is great too! I use Pro-Q all the time, it's a fantastic EQ. You just can't go wrong with Komplete either - A...

Re: No sound coming from Reaktor...

Have you checked the nodes yet? I only say this because my version stopped any midi out when I upgraded. I had to go into the synths again, and make sure they were outed correctly. Obviously, once you've done that the presets will all be fine. Might be something else on yours tho'.
