Yeah, reached Overkill on Friday - for better or worse... Was a lot of fun. I've got bruises as big as plates all over my body due to some ill-judged stagediving during V/Vm.

How heavy were Vex'd at Rag & Bone last night? They were off the fucking scale, I tell you. Disgustingly dubby mutant bass illness. Was absolutely in my element hearing that through the rig at Corsica. Looking forward to another dose there next week. Was gutted to miss DMZ, but cannae do everyth...

where is this "sounds of the universe"? Think I'll have to add it to my dmz visit 7 Broadwick Street, Soho - a stones throw from Blackmarket. They don't tend to stock a great deal of dubstep/grime bits, but they have a killer stock of new electronic stuff and classic/hard-to-find reissues...

Cruised through Blackmarket about 1 this afternoon, no sign... Must of missed them by a whisker.

Did pick up Midnight Request line from Sounds of the Universe though, and had enough change from a fiver for a can of coke, so I cannae really complain.

Yep, props to Boomkat for sure. Always look forward to seeing what’s new on their site each Friday. I only buy tunes from Juno as a last resort, if I can’t find them anywhere else – quite often it works out about £8.50 to buy one UK tune off them, which is a bit silly rilly. Dswat is a great lit...

No, but if you mix Merzbow into a DMZ tune (well, fair play for a start!) then it 'does' have summat to do with dubstep - I think that's the point some people are making.

Nothing much to add to this thread as vxd1 has expressed much of what I was thinking a hell of a lot more eloquently than I ever could. I spent about three years taking a purist approach to djingÂ… It started to make me loose interest in music and made me want to give up playing records. IÂ’ll certa...

Big up Subloaded crew. Had a lot of fun… Didn’t arrive till about half 12, having spent nearly four hours in the back of a van coming from Hackney. Real nice to hear those tunes through Dissident’s rig – spent hours jumping from side to side with my head dancing at three times the speed of my le...

did the Burial release on Hyperdub remind anyone else of Pole, just a wee bit? Completely. I've just been sorting through loads of my records as I'm having a clear-out - listening to tons of Pole, Nonplace, ~scape, Burial Mix... There's a definite link there in terms of textures, bass heaviness and...

Been checking the forum over the past week - just got around to registering... So first off, props to Dubway for initiating such a great resource. A view on Grim... Grim is basically a joke genre spawned by the guys from Werkdiscs - a London label/club night that doesn't take things too seriously (i...
