Re: Site Update Feedback Thread - comments/queries/wishlist
We haven't set a definite date yet, but if there will be no sudden and unexpected difficulties, the closing will be within a week. Of course, this forum will stay online as a read-only archive.

Re: Site Update Feedback Thread - comments/queries/wishlist
The technical support on the old forum was really bad (I personally admit it). This wasn't because we didn't care, but because this forum was falling apart and we didn't have enough resource and time to fix it and maintain it. Here we have years of accumulated plug-ins, quick-fixes, customizations, ...

Re: Site Update Feedback Thread - comments/queries/wishlist
Yo...any chance you can let me have a £ in my username again please? I was £10 Bag Would settle for £10_Bag Sorry, but it's not possible anymore. Now we have technical limitation and can't allow non-ASCII characters such as "£" in usernames. Maybe in the future we introduce display name o...

Re: !!!Regarding the transfer and potential username change!
I'm not sure how long does it take for phpBB session to expire (probably one hour -- I'll fix it), but if you want permanent login now, login here: https://www.dubstepforum.com/login (with "Log me..." checked") -- it will work for sure.

Re: !!!Regarding the transfer and potential username change!
Don't worry dude, I have access now. It wouldn't let me log in without caplitalising the T in Trichome. It was very confusing as it was giving me an incorrect password message, I had no clue it was due to the username being case sensitive. Might want to look into making them insensitive or displayi...

Re: Site Update Feedback Thread - comments/queries/wishlist
Hi ppl, so here's the thing: we switched to a new authentication system. New memebers (joined from 1st June) are already on it so no difference for them. But old members (joined before 1st June) will have to pass a "transfer" -- an easy step of filling the form when they first log in to th...

Strange -- maybe cache or something (which browser/OS is in quesion?). Now I've changed a configuration so the server is forcing redirection from non-www to www.nobody wrote:If I don't put 'www.' before 'dubstepforum.com' I still get the 'We'll be back soon' thing

We had a database crash around 12:00pm UTC. Table with posts got corrupted so I've pulled max-hour-old backup of it. Maybe you will notice some missing PMs or meta-data which have been created in the meantime. Sry

Re: Forum closed for maintenance tonight
The forum keeps logging me off and saying it's down for maintenance. But if I just refresh the page it's fine and I can log back in again. Is it still undergoing maintenance or is that a glitch? One possibility cross my mind: your browser/OS somehow is switching between old and new server (randomly...
