seckle - re: keeping OT threads in main forum becausr they have 'mass appeal'. I cant see how moving them would diminish their appeal, moving them would get the OT section buzzing. There seems a reluctance to post in the OT section, maybe cos the main Dubstep section is busiest, but thats no excuse ...

Shy - sorry, I wasn't saying that radio shows should be moved off topic, I was just saying that all the other junk should be moved to off topic. I'm not sure where radio shows should be, I think it worked quite well where they are (mainly in the dubstep forum) but I think if they were moved into the...

I agree with Conspira. I was looking at the main forum 'Dubstep' yesterday and I was wondering why some of the threads hadn't been moved to Off Topic (Nike/addidas - legal highs etc). I don't know about a separate forum for radio shows, but I do think that anything, anywhere, that is off topic shoul...

If that guy breaks out into a run, he could well do himself an injury in a "Man Severs His Own Penis in Unfeasibly Tight Trouser/Jogging Incident" stylee.

I kinda thought the Stranglers/Mail combo was a bit odd too. I snaffled the Sunday Times today just to get the Jean Luc Goddard Rolling Stones docu - the making of some early album, cant remember which. Normally I avoid the Murdoch rags. Check me .. right on comrades (except when there's a free DVD ...

Liked the photo essay. Does come across as a bit voyeuristic, narrative kinda wanders a bit too. As to the debate above: the piece is a document, not a government white paper; as such it proposes no solutions. These problems (poverty, poor education, lack of opperunity) are entrenched in most develo...

Paulie It can be argued that the neo-conservative agenda has underpinned "what the US has done for decades"; it's not a new phenomenon, although it took a backseat during the Clinton era. Many of the main characters that drove the agenda for regime change in Iraq, including Dick Cheney and...

I'm not sure. Saudi Arabia, for example, where America has trained and armed a brutal state police who's job it is to crush any dissent against the non-elected government. Not much morality there, but plenty oil contracts that benifit US companies.

I've just finished a book called "The War Over Iraq" written by a couple of right-wing journalists (one of them works for Fox News). I decided to read it just to inform myself of exactly where these crazy neo-cons are coming from. Almost every page filled me with rage, these guys live in s...

Good time for eBay bargains - synths and stuff

I am always on the lookout for hardware synths/effects on eBay (uk site). At the moment there's a lot of stuff going for bargain basement prices, I suppose it's because of the holiday season. I saw a Waldorf MicroQ go for £150, and a Yamaha RY30 went for £45. Both these bits of kit are respected and...
