This is my first post here. . . . HELLO!
I've been interested in dubstep since early 2009, ever since I've been listening to it a lot. Especially in 2010 and 2011, collecting as many tracks as I can and creating some nice playlists of my own. Except recently, I have had less time in checking out tons of new dubstep because I've started to create my own music. I've been producing for about a month now, so I'm just a beginner. Plus, I've had no experience in music before.. Only when I was about ten in a band.
I just joined today because I released my first dubstep track... Which isn't crap... At least I think so.
Check out my soundcloud and youtube here:

Perhaps you can join my 6 subscribers on youtube. lol.

Hi,
I started listening to dubstep a couple months ago while at school and I hated it, but once I realized that Skrillex and deadmau5 aren't the only ones who produce it I began to enjoy it more. Besides playing classical piano for 10 years I've never been super into music, but if you have extra time feel free to check out my Myspace page, as I really enjoy making not-so-serious tunes.
Cheers

Welcome to the boards. Hopefully you'll find more great music through these forums. Look out for Threnody's and Mad EP's posts (they do shows on SubFM and kill it!).

Yo, I'm Plague Doct3r and this is my story.
I started originally as DJ Raivu when I was making ambient Nujabes-esque stuff, but due to legal issues involving a christian youth group in Wisconsin who's apparently copyrighted the name and doesn't have a good taste in music, I had to change it.
Anywho, I snowboard, shorin ryu, I'm a photographer and I really dig Scooby Doo. Any questions, feel free to ask.
Stay gold, alxemistsssss

Yo,
I'm a Dubstep and Drum n Bass DJ, being doing it for years now and recently I started playing and listening to a lot of dungeon sound and that one way or another led to me finally registering an account here. Stoked to be a part of the boards.

Currently living in Tokyo and producing in my spare time. If theres anyone else living around here, i would love to do some collaborations or just meet up and talk about music. Sadly, dubstep has not really caught on here in Tokyo, but I plan on trying to start some events here once I have a couple of solid tracks made.

Hey I am Kaeman I live in Canada.
Been listening to Dubstep for about 3 years. Caspa,Skream and Rusko were the first producers that got me into dubstep because of this mix I found on youtube when I searched bass music.
I <3 this forum because everyone here has the same interests in talking about Dubstep and producing and I can have an actual conversation about dubstep and not about Brostep.
I don't think I have ever met one person where I live that I can actually talk about dubstep with because no one knows any other Producers except for Excision ,datsik, cookiemonsta and Flux pavilion. Pisses me right off when people talk about dubstep like they know the whole genre because this one time they were with there friends and this guy blasted some Gold Dust in the car.
Not yet have I herd anything coming from a car stereo or headphones that wasn't screeching high pitched synths.

I'm a newcomer obviously. I want to learn more about music production and making electronic music like dubstep and beats. I'm a guitarist, singer, songwriter and the programs I'm using are adobe audition 3 (generally for recording effects and mastering mostly just guitar and vocals), fruity loops for beats (although I'm trying to get my head around ableton as I know some proper dubstep producers and they all tell me to use that.
Currently I'm building up a collection of samples I like (kicks, snares, instruments loops), experimenting with audio stretching, working towards making interesting beats and sounds.
My current aims are to perfect my control over creating wobbles, making interesting and progressive electronic music which I will then add vocals and singing too which I'll do myself.
Hopefully I'll be able to learn alot from these forums thanks.
Grimey x
