Dubcore is kind of a cross between dubstep and industrial techno, harsh, dark & distorted..

Gabba techno is easy to produce, but dubstep is way harder... and combining the two is harder than both...

Try http://www.myspace.com/ohmwerk

Listen to TEMPLAR Hycid Mix... starts out techno-y, then goes dubstep-y.

Also check SADE Demo Version on the same music player..

On http://www.myspace.com/polygohmrecords, check out;

Dubcore Live Edit

Proton Preview

Watt preview

http://www.myspace.com/murdrum

Emergency

Check out Dark Blood on Murdrum's page, although it's D'n'B, it's definately my cuppa tea!

All these tracks except for the D'n'B one are what I personally classify as dubcore... Maybe its just dark techy dubstep? Perhaps someone can enlighten me if there is a difference?

On a related note, check out http://www.myspace.com/beatzemonster for some seriously funky glitchy techno trax!

esp: http://www.myspace.com/ohmwerk

I parked it on the myspace page and listened to all of the tunes

edit: I went to add them as friends (which I rarely do anymore), and they already were linked to me

I really like ohmwerk... I'd go as far as classing him in my top 3 influences as a producer..

I guess I have a habit of appending "core" to any hard distorted type of music...

Think of the possibilities one could create! Balladcore, folkcore, operacore

I like seriously minimal hardhouse/gabba/techno ie, pounding kick drum with sparse efx... But I also like world music and jazz etc.. Once my production skills are suffecient, watch out for some mentalist hybrid stuff!

be creative, make your own techniques and don't try to make music that someone else has already made.
