So I often sit 'ere wanting to show people my tunes and get some input from them and when you post on here, specially for someone like me who has only been producing a few months its kinda hit and miss if people are even going to listen to the tunes let alone give you input.
So my question is, do people have a couple of mates who know what they're talking about / fellow producers they send tunes to on the regular and get some input. Because I do send quite a few tunes to my mates and they're like "ah, thats cool man" or "ahh, don't like that" but would be nice if I had someone who'd say .. "oh, add a little delay to this, that snare might sound better with a bit more punch" well you get my drift.
So do you have a 'partner in crime' so to say?

Yeah i have a few close friends who also make music but they tend to make very different stuff to me so sometimes they dont quite know where im coming from with some music i make (as in there proper techno heads so not having a 4x4 beat doesnt sound right) anyways i really like this part of the forum and i think we can have a really good community angle of constructive criticism and encouragement going on which is all good.

I guess I kinda shy away from these parts of the forum and the few times Ive asked questions they've been to obvious and I make myself look like a right plum.
Although just trolling I have learned quite a bit and the community does have a good bunch people who have a decent head on them when it comes to producing, I guess everyone struggles to get feedback when they first start?

I have mates who produce but I also like to get opinions of my music from outside sources but I find the Dubs section of dubstep forum a poxy nightmare.
I've posted my music up there on several occasions and have received pretty much no feedback, and I have noticed some of the people who use the production forum don't use the dubs section and vice-versa. Weird?!
I'm fairly new to making Dubstep and feedback is extremely important to me. I'm old enough to know when my tracks are being constructively criticized and when someone is just spouting crap, so it's all good I suppose.

I have some producer/dj mates that give me feedback - both into dubstep. If it passes the ear test it goes on their radio show friday night.
And i got over sending my tracks here - no feedback. Plus - i'd rather keep my stuff to myself and my mates. Loses their impact if everyone knows the choon. peace!!
