as long as all those wallets have at least a thousand dollars in them.ekstrak wrote:I use Dynaudio monitors. Love em. They have a good range for all wallets..

the BM5A's cost about a grand in the US. If he already has a quality amp then the passives will save him a packet but they aint cheap!

ok fair play, dynaudio's arent cheap (and ALOT more stateside by the sound of it) but you have to think about it.
your monitors are, in my oppinion, your most valuable asset in your studio. it doesnt matter how much you spent on your signal source / processors without good monitors you'll never really know what you're doing. same goes for acoustic treatment. never ever underestimate the power of a few DIY bass traps and some well placed acoustic foam.

The Dynaudio BM5's are the bomb... I use them with a samson servo 260 amp and they sound great....
Using Samson Resolv80 active's - bass goes down very low, so you might not need a sub-woofer either.
Very loud too, don't think I've ever needed to put mine above 2. Think they're pretty cheap at the moment - round about £200 in the UK. Would suggest you try before you buy but they do the trick.
