The dubstep community, being one that has been vastly welcoming to all who believe in the music, is normally a fairly tolerant of mistakes, etc, so I just wonder why people should "harden-up".
my motivation is to share a few bits of my own tunes and some opinions on whetever takes my interest for the day. People need to "harden up" on the net because it's stupid to take everything on board personally and dwell on it.

^what the hell are you on? Dude made a mistake on a public access blog or forum, end of story. An apology would have shown more character than the melodramatic petulance of a dubstep fanblogger who just got his on line wrist slapped with a wet bus pass. Stupid, internet, bullshit, childhood, playground antics is what people need to harden up to.IMHO. Gutter was a good read but I have always got my dubstep from the source. I don't need mp3 blogs giving away free shit and would feel stink if I did download them from there.

Fuck it, I'm done.

Rights and wrongs of the original issue aside (who cares now anyway) - classic internet bullshit in this thread.

I gather it was dealt with direct and politely by the people who it concerned...it didn't need a baying chorus of fanboys trying to act tough on the internet too.

Maybe it's time this thread was put to bed. Like many others here, I would hate to see Gutter become disillusioned and lose his passion for writing his blog because of this vocal thread.

He had good intentions, and I have always been a massive fan of his writing - I am indeed one of the very people he stepped up to try and help with the file sharing. I don't think many of you realise how hard it is to get the majority of dubstep tracks when you're half way around the world. I don't necessarily agree with how things have been done, but as many others have said - it's all been sorted now, so can we let it go?

Big up Gutter still, he didn't set out to do any harm im sure. Infact he was just trying to spread the sound. He does a bloody great blog and that is true, but he made a little mistake putting the mp3's up bcoz some of them are still available/maybe repressed in future and I think one just come out combined with the quality of mp3 etc etc plus he didnt ask if it's ok first.
That's it really, he made a mistake no real hard feelings because I don't feel he tried to fuck anyone over, just tried to be helpful but in the wrong way once.

Whoever hasn't got a turntsable needs to buy a set of decks maan...Your missing out, I recommend technics 1210's, then you can always buy the vinyl and mp3 it for yourself

Big up Gutter, get the blog back up.

I live in alaska, and I don't know how I possibly would have discovered dubstep if I hadn't stumbled on the gutterbreakz blog. For that matter, my musical tastes would be completely different if it weren't for file sharing. I'm not saying he was right for posting 320s of those songs, but people really should give him the benefit of the doubt.

I get the feeling something wasn’t right before the mp3’s were posted up.
The last few posts on the site, didn’t seem like typical gutterbreakz.

Its hard to run a site or blog when your not getting anything out of it, and people only pull you up when you do something wrong, and don’t say thanks often enough for providing a reliable source of information that interests them.

Gutterbreakz is the best blog IMO
But lately people have been gunning down the bloggers for sharing their opinions, when that’s the point of them having a blog.

Anyway you don’t know a good thing till it’s gone.

gotta respect that. and you totally right what you said in your comments (reasoning for your actions)... good work.

Can't believe someone who's done so much for the scene is getting so much flack for this. :(

Keep up your good work Nick, fuck the haters
Dub-boy - there's 2 parts to this thread - the valid one that Luke has about permission, and the other one that is slagging Gutta off.
Bigup the first one, thanks, but no thanks the second one.

Hopefully Gutta is looking through this and feeling the support from the majority of people - he acknowledged that he'd done bad when he got some private PM's - so lets all get down of our respective ivory towers now and usher this topic off the floor - Gutta will come back if he wants - totally up to him, but the world hasn't changed that much......
Fair does, point taken

Still think people are wildly over-reacting though, Nick's always has had the scene's best interests at heart....

As far as Im concerned he never set out to rip anyone off, so this backlash is a bit harsh IMO.

He made a mistake, Im sure he would be glad to put his hands up and admit this, and apologise.

I dont know how many of you have met this man personally, but he hasnt got a bad bone in his body. He truely loves the music and I can damn guarantee he didnt do this with bad intentions.
Blazey = that DJ from Bristol
