Music that is as progressive as ‘The Orb’ crossing territories never before dreamed of. D’n’B and a slightly Eastern influence combine in a fusion of spacewalk grooves that are superbly crafted. New signing to Muti Music, Gregory Reveret takes time out for producing for hip hop trio 'The Realist' to drop this new monicker, Triplet Of Belville (T.O.B.) and some serious, serious dubstep.
Phrygian Mode steps hard. Eastern sas sounds and strings sit over a sinewy bassline and driving rhythms that build steadily to an intensity that will shake dancehalls silly. Ethnic strings are emphasized by skipping melodies before the whole thing tumbles into some huge pit of bass laden doom, the kind of tune that if you're not dancing, you really are just going to have to sit down for a bit.
Thwomp Attack gets straight down to business. This is the sort of deep, brooding rowdy that would be oppressive if it weren't for the bruising but technical percussives and big warped synth stabs and odd production twist here and there. Bass pressure is well balanced with head nodding beats and an intelligent arrangement that manages to keep it heavy without getting stodgy.
As you've guessed this is the heavy and hard end of dubstep, with trouser flapping bass and thunderous beats. It's not delicate, but it's not clumsy either.
