Kode9 Sonar Mix!

Post by boomnoise » Sat May 26, 2007 4:47 pm

Has been uploaded to the website here

I'm pretty sure the tracklist on kode9.blogspot.com is correct and the one on the sonar site is wrong. Not sure why.

Big. I hope it becomes available for download at some point. He's got to be one of the best selectors around IMO and his production's reached a whole new level, even just since 'Memories of the Future'

please don't post an archive on here for a bit. i'm sure kode has an agreement with sonar over this mix, so let's try and be respectful of that.

please use the link to listen for a few weeks.

not really much point stream ripping it anyway.. its like 64kbps or something. epic mix though, really looking forward to the LV and Errol Bellott stuff now.. heavy.

if someone in spain could rip the CD when the mags out that'd be cool :)

a new one from kode9, gold news, listening to it right now, the quality is poor but its worth the listening. im considering of visiting Sonar again as ive been there for 2 yrs in a row and its fantastic, so if im attempting to it im def going to check hobbs, skream, kode9 and oris for sure.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

Kode9 has done this mix for Sonar and Go!, a spanish magazine. The mix will be presented as a free cover mount CD with the June Sonar issue of said mag.

That tracklist is wrong though. Correct one below:
1. LV + Errol Bellott - 'Globetrotting' (Hyperdub)
2. Peverelist - 'The Grind' (Punchdrunk)
3. Massive Music - 'Find My Way' (Kode9 Remix) (Hyperdub)
4. King Midas Sound - 'Cool Out' (Hyperdub)
5. Digital Mystikz - 'Blue Notes' (DMZ)
6. The Bug feat. Flow Dan - 'Jah War' (Loefah Remix) (Ninja Tune)
7. Kode9 - '9 Samurai' (Hyperdub)
8. Dabrye feat. Doom - 'Air' (Kode9 Remix) (Ghostly Int.)
9. Kode9 - 'Stung' (dubplate)
10. Digital Mystikz - 'Lean Forward' (dubplate)
11. Burial - 'Stairwell' (Hyperdub)
12. Cluekid & Cotti - 'Sensi Dub VIP' (Minus 30 Records)
13. Benga - 'Electro Music' (Tempa)
14. Kode9 & Warrior Queen - 'Fuck You' (dubplate)
15. Kode9 - 'Magnetic City' (Soul Jazz)
16. 2562 - 'Channel One' (dubplate)
17. Junior boys - 'Double Shadow' (Kode9 Remix feat. The Spaceape) (Domino)
18. Shackleton- 'You Bring Me Down' (Skull Disco)
19. Skream - '2D' (Tempa)
20. Digital Mystikz - 'Bury the Boy' (DMZ)
21. Skream - 'Bit Stream' (Tempa)
22. Skream - 'Losin' Control' (Tempa)
23. The Bug & Warrior Queen - 'Poison Dart' (Ninja Tune)
24. Kode9 - Konfusion (dubplate)
25. D1 - 'Quantum Jazz' (Tempa)

Yeah but that's the hyper speed at which things move in the media. Always slightly distorted.

I think Sonar is always incredibly guilty of this.
