2 FUCKIN FREEZIN HOURS WAITING WITH TICKET AND MUGGED OFF!

Post by jd birch » Fri Jan 18, 2008 12:06 am

what a load of bullshit!!!!!!!
just got back from the dubstep forum awards queue. big up the queue crew!
hope everyone there who got in had a blast but my night has left me fucked off to the point that i need to write this to let off steam.
got 5 tickets for me and my pals last week and have been so buzzing looking forward to tonight and linking up with some of the people i have met here and seeing kode 9, rusko, benga and the rest. BIG TIME! and just getting out with my pals which is a rare event now we are getting on a bit. lots of effort to get down there (babysitters) blah blah blah...
get there at 9pm and there is a big queue and a small one. i ask the bouncer where to queue. told that the big line is for people WITH and without tickets. queue for nearly 2 hours and it moves slow then stops with bout 20 people between us and the door. i go and ask the same tnuc/bouncer whats happening and he tells me the other queue (which by now is just as long as ours) is now for people WITH tickets and the priority. he says we should go to the back of that if we want to get in. why didnt they tell us of this switch? this seems crazy but i we go to the back of it. (still following my rant?...i dont give a fuck!) by know kode 9 have started and we are right down the end of kingsland road further from getting in than we were 2 hours ago. then i spot the queue we were just told to leave start to move! so i goes back to the cunting bouncer and ask him what the fuck is going on! he then tells me in a very aggressive way that i am in his face and stopping him doing his job. by this time im in no mood to party and im freezing my nuts off. we decide to call it quits and head home. what a waste of time, effort, energy and money. this has left such a bad feeling particularly because i was SO looking forward to it. dont know whos at fault here but what a fuckin shambles!

Wow, what a bag a rae rae...
Im not part of the organizing crew but here's something I know by heart:
Bouncers and other loose people have no clue (even if YOU are the organizer(s)) whats going on, even if you spend 30 minutes to inform things like your guestlist. Even if the guestlist has illustrations (u know like childrens book has) they'll never know who to let in or not.

You were victim of some serious bad luck.

Bouncers never went to higher education like u and I so u can laugh at it in the morning

Same venue is it?

I'm feelin what beans is saying about fuckwit bouncers ruining peoples nights as i've seen it happen.. But I think this is just a case of bad organisation at the door for how many tickets were sold

Different venue but same problem by the sounds of it. If you've bought tickets in advance, not getting in should not be something you should be worrying about.

good for long journeys and such like.
take the edge off things.
a couple off months ago i took a couple on holiday and me mate chucked me in a pool and i had my phone in my pocket. i lost all the pictures i had ever taken off my beloved niece since she was born and a wicked new phone and all my work contacts.
i was like "dont worry about it mate"
next day i went up to him all angry cause they'd worn off
