Dont post good quality tunes on myspace or they will get ripped and looped. Plus when they have been uploaded, they get rendered to 64 kpbs.

I just slam a waves maximizer/limiter on the tune and pump it really loud, so they dynamics are fucked.

errrrrr getting a tune to sound good on myspace is no different to getting it sounding good in winamp or on a dubplate.

like cryptic said, it converts them to 64kbps, so experiment with exporting different 64kbps quality mp3 mixes of your tunes, see which one is the best and upload it. this is pretty useless though, don't get distracted by bit rates and so on, if your tune is mixed proper, it will sound proper.

but, like i said, get a good mix and it will sound good in winamp/your car/myspace player/your mum's fanny/underwater/on walkman. there is nothing special about the myspace player except that it lowers the bit rate of your music.

do people actually do this?
i wouldn't give a shit, if someone wants to rip a 64kbps version of my tune and listen to it, i'll leave them to it, they're obviously pretty fuckin' stupid

great, thanks for the tips, although i just ended up mastering it as well as i could... thought there may be some tricks like cutting out very low frequencies or something but nevermind!

if anyone's interested you can hear the results...
