Dubstep SamplePack Contest v5.0

Post by hxdb » Wed Jul 16, 2008 6:15 am

DEADLINE FOR TRACK SUBMISSION HAS BEEN REACHED!!!!

Aiiiiight, I finally had a chance to finish compiling this pack and hope there are enough inspirational samples here to have some glorious sumbmissions.

As before, here are the...

RULES:

-Use only the samples provided in the pack, no synths, generators or anything of the like. (VSTis, AUs etc)
-Edit the samples as you see fit, use as many effects as your heart desires!
-Anyone using sound sources other than the samples provided will be disqualified!

LINK TO FILES:
LINK REMOVED, NO MORE REQUESTS!!!!

Once the download threshold of 125 has been reached, the link will be removed and the sample pack removed, unless requested specifically.

Also please note:
-When you've completed your entry, upload your complete 320k mp3 to divshare, yousendit etc. and PM me the link.
-Make sure your mp3 is tagged properly, if not it may not be entered correctly!

DEADLINE FOR TRACK SUBMISSION HAS BEEN REACHED!!!!

Winner of this round, wins the respect and admiration of their peers ;) and the responsibility of preparing the sample pack for round 6!

Once the deadline has been reached, I'll post the link to a virb site with all the entrants and a poll here on the forum where people can vote on the submissions.

Good luck to everyone and I hope to hear some wonderful music!

I was going to do this but that medusa reese bass made me pee my pants and now I am afraid.

Very nice kicks there... quality sounds to start with.
Did you process any of them yourself, or mix and match from different sources?

To address the question of multiple entries....In my opinion, it should be fine, but I'd leave it up to the other entrants to see if they think it's fair.

I like the idea of one track each better.

Yeah I don't really think its 'greedy' to have two tracks... Would be sweet if there were only a couple of entrants... I just say it because there were like 20 or so tracks to listen to last time and it gets a bit hard to vote is all

I think there should be a maximum of 2 tracks per participant. That way If someone wants to enter two tracks of two differing genres *cough* me *couch* they can.

A max of 2 is a good idea imo. 8)

ps. I've just started a new track inspired by DJ Tiesto's Alya
