Re: Does anyone use Myspace these days?
I really don't like myspace. Personally, as a dubstep fan, I still use youtube and soundcloud to listen to peoples music, but never their myspace. To me, if an artist only has a myspace they look pretty high schoolish. For example, if someone is bigging up their own online scene and ends it with ...

Re: Need a great dubstep drum pack and drum tips
I have 808 packs, the Reason drum collection -$80 and really clean sounding drums, way better than the crap that comes with the program, then gigs and gigs of bought, torrented, and friend given drums packs, loops, and hits. I never use one drum pack for anything, but I pick and choose and layer ...

Why can't people just say that one has been covered here>>> ww w.whatthefuckever.com and then welcome people to your forum. There are a lot of people that are new to forums and just happened to find a knowledge community and so they give asking their question a chance.

Re: Mixdown question for ghetto ninjas
Nowaysj - Thanks for the reply man. Oddly enough, the track I'm struggling with at the moment is in a low Fm.
remember your comparing mastered tunes to yours that are still works-in-progress.
Ah yes. So true. I bet mastering does a fuckton for rounding everything out on multiple systems. hmm ...

Mixdown question for ghetto ninjas
Ok, so I have a pair of m-audio Bx5a studio monitors. They are the cleanest flattest sound I can come up with on my ghetto budget. They are small and don't have much for low end, which is an issue because I am producing dubstep. I also have a bloated pair of Cerwin Vega home stereo speakers that ...

@Sovereignty
Yeah fun track. Is that Massive?
I'm not sure how to describe this exactly, but when you cut everything but a sound or two and then punch back into the drop. . .yeah those are where its at for party tracks imo.

@Basic A
Listening right now. Love the dark intro and sub. Listening on some nice(ish) monitors and the sub is doing its thing deep. I don't have the kind of attention span needed to make minimal stuff like this, but love to listen to it. Defo car creeping at night music. The delays on those ah ...

A-list
Nice buildup on that track. 100% not my style, but it sounds good to me. The build-up rises are good. I like the stuttering vocals. Pads sound a bit, idk, presetish or something, I think the pads could have a lot more emotion/texture to them, since your style seems to pack emotion and ...

Re: Compressor out clipping but not the channel level
I don't. I'm just confused why clipping in the compressor doesn't clip the channel level. Does threshold cut it off before it gets to the channel level? I have been reading about compression for a long time, but it's still a mystery and I keep reading that compressing just to "make it louder" is not ...

Re: Compressor out clipping but not the channel level
I mean when I increase the out on the compressor it will peak into the red, but the channel level will still be at around -3db and I don't understand why.
