Re: Budget Studio Monitors Worth It?
yeah they are pretty good for the money thats for sure. also to completely avoid the amp problems in the older models you could get the passive versions of these monitors. i actually heard the passives are better than the actives. but that would bring in the hassle of having to find an amp which may...

Re: Budget Studio Monitors Worth It?
Cheers guys for the responses! I've always been skeptical of buying second hand but i'll look into it.
Lyons238, i just took a look at the Alesis and nothing but good reviews! Will investigate further but i'm seeing this as the best 'bang for your buck' option.

My budget is around £200 so have been looking at the, M-Audio av40's, Alesis M1 520's, etc. I already own a pair of Sennheiser HD-25 I...

Bassline tricks ??
Right i don't know if this has been asked before but what are the tricks that can be used with the bassline to make the sound more interesting:
eg. Pitch bend, octave change, LFO Rate.
What else is used to for example to create, Koan Sound - Akira's bassline the big slur etc

Re: EQ Settings?
Only time I eq drums is for special fx, or on the drum buss. Even well chosen samples can start to mud out when shit gets crazy. Watch the area around 300hz, a 3 db dip might be in order. But look dood, it's kind of silly asking for the kind of advice your asking for. It is clear that you're newb, ...

Re: EQ Settings?
But the thing is i think it sounds good i upload it and people say it needs to be EQ'ing, im just askin if theres any rough settings that are used, there may not be, just asking It don't really work like that, you need to hear for harsh frequencies and take them out - thats all EQing is really, fix...

This one one of the many reasons why I stopped using Reason. Clear...
