Re: Waves Murcury Bundle
In my opinion the best plug would be the Q10 equalizer (As opposed to the Renaissance EQs). I use that shit on every single channel, sometimes several on a channel. But then again, that's the only one I bought, I don't have the whole bundle. Any plugs in particular you are trying to wrap your head ...

Re: Your project screenshots.

Re: Some Bass Questions
You haven't really given us much to work with here, other than your bass seems to be too quiet. This could be caused by a number of different reasons. Perhaps your monitor gear does not adequately represent the bass of the song (your speakers are misrepresenting the way it really sounds).

Re: The 'help me make this sound!' thread
The mid range bass sound in Swagga is what Im looking to try and get down.
Also the intro to this?

How does he get that sound?
It is almost certainly what lynn mc is referring to. I would not be surprised if there are multiple instances of the same ...

Re: Compressing a kick?
I watched the El-B interview in CM months ago and from what I recall he was talking about putting a limiter on the top end and compressing the bottom so it squeezes the kick together, how would I do this?

Re: Logic Bass Patches?
While I usually use the ES2 for leads or pads, I have been able to create some decent midrange tones for use in a sampler.

Re: The 'help me make this sound!' thread
Was wondering how the hell did widdler made his bassline in Froggy Style?
Widdler would be a very easy person to contact and ask yourself. Simply download IRC and connect to irc.dubstep.fm, join the #dubstepfm channel, he Idles there. I'm sure he would be glad to give you pointers. Very nice ...

Re: Synth Knowledge
No. But usually my goal is not to create a representation of an acoustic instrument using a synthesizer. I use synths as a means to create harmonics which I can't get from acoustic (sampled) source. While I do have an appreciation and respect for people who are skilled at replicating the sound of ...

Re: lfo and waveform question
This isn't the same but here is my quick attempt. To me it sounds like there is no LFO being used, rather there are 3 24th notes for the lfo like effect in the first 3 notes. the harmonic layers he uses are revealed at 2 mins. Yeah so its not quite on the mark but maybe this will help. http://dl ...

Re: sub-bass help
If you haven't experimented with this already, You can try using a limiter on the sub/sin channel (lots of gain and set the maximum output at the negative value which you want the sin to remain at). You may want to use a free oscilliscope to give you a visual representation of the wave to make sure ...

Re: QUESTIONS ABOUT ALBINO IN LOGIC
I doubt they include a keygen with a legitimate copy of Albino, that would be pretty stupid on the part of the company. But since you mentioned it, why not try copy / paste.

Re: QUESTIONS ABOUT ALBINO IN LOGIC
If you don't see the synth's graphical interface, but instead see a white panel with a bunch of text, its possible you haven't entered your serial number in the blank space at the bottom of the page. Besides that I'm not so sure.

Re: heavy kicks,claps and snares?
I find it best to engineer your own heavy hits, using bits and pieces of various single hits. It is rare to find one sound with all the qualities you want, but if you can find a snare with a good bassy element, one with a good initial snap, and maybe one with a good trail, you can get creative with ...
