The "Wob wob"

Okay, using ableton, know how to wobble, but I still can't figure out how to get a deep sound to get that wob effect I love, been playing about with Operator and Simpler but all I can get is a boring wobble, no real depth or filth to it =/

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Okay so I've been experimenting with Ableton all week and I'm starting to suss out what everything does now I realise how lucky I am!

What I want to know is that on a build up to a drop how would you have it so that before the drop you could have one really long wobble that takes a couple of ...

Stupid Question.

Sorry to ask a question that requires one of the most simple answers ever =/

Okay, virtually every tutorial says you need to map the LFO To the filter cutoff to make a good basic dubstep wobble.

How would I go about doing this in ableton, cheers.

Haha, some nice advice there I'd say.

Well, I've got about 300gb left to play with on the external =/

Sadly, limitations with an oldish laptop =[

Re: What to do

Well, thanks for all the advice guys, I guess so far I've been a little bit stuck on the idea of making dubstep and not thinking about anything else, with four elements it sounds simple but Ableton is pretty big haha.

I think I'll just play around with a few things such as the wobble and see what ...

Re: What to do

If you truly want to make music, Ableton alone is powerful enough to make a release worthy record.

Money isn't the issue now, it's knowledge and practice.

Work your way through the built in Ableton tutorials, watch the youtube videos, and most importantly make as much music as possible. It may ...

What to do

i'm pretty darn addicted to dubstep, love the stuff, slowly taking over my life etc

three month ago my mate bought virtual dj and ableton as he seemed to think spending £500 would give him the ability to produce some awesome dub, he gave up two weeks later.

so two weeks ago i got on to him and ...
