going against the hole less is more eq philosophy etc, i find 'quadrafuzz' in cubase great for getting things to sit right / sound how i want them to. Its a multiband distortion plug but can sound subtle when needed

If you do decide you want the real thing, the 70s pablo model is a Hohner piano 26 (the grey one)

Re: Testimony of people who used Cubase ESSENTIAL!!!
if you're looking at cubase essential then take a look at Cockos Reaper. Heard of a few long time cubase users making the switch. I went from Cubase LE4 to 5 because it was just frustrating to use (though im guessing essential is a bit better). If i'd known about reaper i think i would have gone tha...

try A minor and E minor with a piano. You'd be surprised how much reggae uses these chords, it's a good starting point. Forget 7ths for nowENZA wrote: major and minor triads my friend.

Re: Using a laptop as a sound module
Wow that's a lot of work! But an interesting alternative to rack modules. Ha yes well after discovering the powers of certain software I'm pretty much done with my external modules but i've got used to having the extra PC outs. Yeah i've checked and checked again, channel 1 goes to channel 1 etc. N...

Help With - Using a laptop as a sound module
Hi guys I'm trying to use a laptop as a sound module (to make use of 4 extra analog outs that my laptop soundcard gives me) I've set up 2 midi channels (1 and 2) on my PC, routed them from PC midi out to laptop midi in and into cubase midi channels 1 and 2. There is then 2 different synths on these ...

We ran into lots of problems leading up to this night which i don't really want to get into on here but still was very surprised by the turn out (or lack of). It did sound good though
