i'm pretty interested but i'd like few more details about how it works

I'm having the same problem man... I can't even use audacity because apparently my audio drivers are wrong
windows 7 is good apart from this problem
I can't even use the windows movie maker stereo mix record because they removed that feature in the latest version

i started out using cubase sx 3 and learnt that in and out, using shitloads of vst's and effects and i was getting nowhere i demoed ableton live 8 and was a bit disorientated as its completely different but now i've gone to using just one vst and using waveform samples and my production has gone way...

i've got the same problem man

i tend to lay it all out in a sequencer, put the patterns together and then go in an tweak it as i go along

if i dont put the structure down to begin with i've got nothing to bench mark so i get lost and give up...

it depends if I'm feeling what I'm making or if i think about sidelining it the tune I've just finished - the sickness took me about 8 hours in all...the mix down isn't great but I'm crap at that stuff but sometimes i can be on a tune for weeks I've always got 2-3 I've made like 64 bars of then my c...

I tend to do it by ear by soloing the kick and the bass untill it sits right

using a spectrum analyzer helps aswell so you can see what freqs. are doing nothing to help
