Re: question about the widdler

:U: been a keen follower since Lady Dub! ...such a tune. love all the b-sides and bootlegs too. man's got talent, should be talked about much more often than he is imo.

Re: School... for music

I'm taking the 8 week music production for Ableton course with pointblank online right now, just into the second week. Highly recommend it. I've been teaching myself on and off for the last year or so but even just 2 weeks in I'm still getting a heck of a lot out of the course. Jonny Miller is a man...

Haz' Beats (Homebrew Beatmaker) Mixtape

Hey all, just thought I'd post this here cos ya might dig it, he's the beat maker for the Homebrew Crew from NZ, check them out if you dont know them already. Here's a collection of real tight instrumentals and it's only US$5 so it's a steal. Check out 'Queenstown' and 'Dunedin' - my favs anyway. ht...

I do, in fact, have a 'mod grip' on mine. Would be so keen to play it out live, maybe i could go busk with it and jam some Devo on the street :6:

Re: my tune :)

My advice is when you make a tune, sit on it for a week or so at least then listen to it again and if you still like it, then you post it up for feedback.

Re: Nord Lead 2 vs SH101

Hahahaha, cheers for the info nowaysj. Looks like a new audio interface is next on the shopping list. I do, in fact, have a lexicon alpha and I find it very limiting and annoying to use with the 101. Ill start there before I look into cv/midi interfaces as that looks like expensive-ish territory if ...

Re: Nord Lead 2 vs SH101

Hey contakt, does the 202 have midi? or are you just sampling it. whats the best way for me to get sounds outta this thing...I am an amateur producer, doing a course now to up my game and when it comes to hardware I'm still really fresh.

Re: Nord Lead 2 vs SH101

Have you used either of them nowaysj? just curious as to why you'd prefer the SH101. I am wondering if the 101 is more of a financial investment than a useful synth, especially when compared to something like the Lead 2 or a Virus for instance. So far i've only sampled the 101, although i heard you ...

Nord Lead 2 vs SH101

Hey, I've got myself a Roland SH101 and I've been offered a Nord Lead 2 plus a little cash their way as a trade. Anyone use a Lead 2 and can give me some feedback? It'd be nice to have midi and polyphony, but it'd be hard to part with the 101. I've never had a hard synth like the Lead 2 and was wond...
