Re: HELP! Routing analog synthesizer in to Ableton :(
In Ableton you'll need a midi channel. Then load an External Audio effect plugin from the standard Ableton Audio effects folder.
On your midi channel where it says "midi from" select your "Novation Nio" might say (Novation Nio Port 1) if you can't see that you haven't set it up right in the midi ...

Re: HELP! Routing analog synthesizer in to Ableton :(
If the Juno is making sound when you sequence it from Ableton then the problem is obviously just getting it into the Ableton mixer. I might be stating the obvious, but in Ableton you need another Audio track - set the input to the relevant audio device and input channel, and set the monitor button ...

Re: HELP! Routing analog synthesizer in to Ableton :(
- Midi cables running from the Juno's 'MIDI OUT' in to the Novation Nio's 'MIDI IN' and vice versa.
wrong way round bruv
So youre saying it has to be 'MIDI IN' to 'MIDI IN' and 'MIDI OUT' to 'MIDI OUT' ?
No, you want to sequence the Juno from Ableton, correct? So you need to route midi FROM ...

HELP! Routing analog synthesizer in to Ableton :(
I have a Roland Juno 106 and a Novation Nio Audio/Midi interface.I'll go into detail on how i've currently set it up to see if anyone can understand where I have went wrong:
- 1/4 cables from Rolands 'stereo OUTPUT' in to the microphone 1 and microphone 2 inputs on the Novation Nio.
- Midi cables ...

Re: Roland Juno 106
well it's just random keys that sometimes wont play, no key is forever completely broken, so like if one goes it will only be for a minute or so, then come back but another one will go just after that. Does anyone know of somebody that has had the same problem with the voices when the Juno is ...

Re: Roland Juno 106
haha I know man! It's a well known fact that the voices on the juno eventually go, I just love the sound of it too much to let it go. I need to know though, as I'm about to buy an audio interface for it, and I'll be seriously peeved if I got it to then find out the Juno still doesn't work through it.

Roland Juno 106
I have a Roland Juno 106, unfortunately one of the voices has gone. I was wondering, if I were to run the Juno into ableton via midi, would I then be able to play the Juno ok through the internal midi piano roll? Without having the problem of the broken voice?
Thankyou for any help you can give,

Re: anyone know of a spectrum analyzer
Chase & Status talk about the Elemental Audio Inspector XL in this video, they say it's the best spectrum analyzer out there. I use it as well, it's really accurate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYMC57ldgE4

The right Studio Monitors for me?
I've narrowed down my decision of studio monitors to the Yamaha HS50m's and the Yamaha HS80m's. I'll be working in an averagely sized bedroom, and soon to be working in student accomadation. Will the HS80m's be worth the extra $$$ in the conditions I'll be working in? This will be my first pair of ...
