Re: unwanted "clicking noise"

you sure the metronome isn't on? not to sound condescending but the way you describe it sounds like you might have overlooked that...

also, make sure your DAW isn't using more of your cpu's battery power than it can handle:

Re: Your Artist Name and the Story Behind It

i used to be friends with a little person in high school, i'm a pretty short dude myself, i said something about it one day and he was like, "nah man, you're still like a willy mammoth to me" and we laughed our asses off and it stuck as a nickname.

Re: Fruityloops is shat

watch where you place your loops in your sequencer, sometimes when i copy and paste loops they land like 1/16 of a beat over where i need it to be, but that's the kind of thing i've noticed in other DAWs, now that i've gotten used to it, it doesn't really bother me.
and as far as all the FL hate, I ...

Re: three questions

Having the controller helped my production improve tenfold. It's easier for me to have something I can play that looks and feels like an actual instrument when i'm comin up with tunes. Also if you play any instruments, the external soundcard can help you add live elements you couldn't get out of a ...

Re: Writer Block Tips

I'm happy to see that a good amount of people share my need for green and coffee when producing music :D

seriously though, i get writer's block a lot when i'm working on tunes for a long time, and after a while it just feels like i'm going nowhere. like everyone else on here, i'm gonna say spend ...

Re: Help with virus ti super grimey and gutural wobbles please!

I don't have virus but i'd suggest looking for a formant or formant saw waveform/setting, pitch it down a couple and octaves and go from there...
sorry if that's not what you were looking for.

Re: movie samples

thanks for your help, dudes.

i don't think it has to be corny. with a lot of dubstep tracks lacking vocals, i feel like it's a way to connect the not-so-musically inclined to the music and set the tone of the song. but then again i'm a huge nerd who likes epic ridiculous shit, ha.

movie samples

hey everyone, new to producing here, was wondering...what's the best way to take an audio sample from a movie? Anything else you can tell me about sampling audio from films?
thanks in advance,
