I completely understand that point of view, it is a bit discomforting knowing that my music is gone with my hard drive. And obviously a hard copy of something is worthy of a higher price but if they are downloading a tune ripped from cd in order to avoid having to pay for it how is that not theft ...

Ill be the first to admit to downloading music. But i don't have some grand delusion that there isnt something inherently wrong with it or that artist are somehow being ungrateful when they complain about it. Im failing to grasp the separation between vinyl and mp3's, just because theres no plastic ...
