I think the decline in the scene has to do with a lack of venues honestly. Jazzy Joel Productions has been doing some huge parties from what I understand. I haven't made it out to one yet, but they do a mix of indie rock and dubstep, b'more, electro djs and it supposedly draws out like 300 kids ...
