Got a mini yesterday, works like a dream with Ableton. Can't recommend it enough for jamming, very addictive!

127 Hours - The guy was a douche, I wanted another boulder to fall and trap his other arm when he got free. Stylish and entertaining though - 3/5

Machete - Not bad, not good. Just a dumb, switch your brain off piss-take action film - 3/5

Anyone got any good vst recommendations that can actually be automated within Ableton - I know the big ones like the NI suite, but what else?

Conviction - Sam Rockwell gets banged up for life with no parole for murder. Hilary Swank is his sister who becomes a lawyer to try and free him. Pretty dull. Good performances, but something lacking - 2/5

I watched 'Winter's Bone' last night. Good acting, interesting story, pretty grim likes.

I've been trying to incorporate some toms into my precussion. I normally just stick to cymbals (ride/crash), hi-hats, snares and kicks.

I have absolutely no idea about placement, patterns, EQing or volume.

Anyone know of a good recourse for learning?
