oh speaking of massive presets i was messing about with it the other day and by blind luck managed to get the main synth from high rankin all the things you do

discovery pro? yea its a fucking beast. closest sounding vst to a hard synth. it has 12 oscs 8 normal oscs and 4 waveshaping oscs (meaning you can use wave files and soundfonts as extra layers.) its based on a clavia nord 2 hard synth and ya can import clavia presets in to it. also has 4 effects se...

ive noticed with drumstep they still use the amens but as a roll sorta thing get an amen chop out the middle bit of the loop (the percy bit) and use it as a hi hat on the 16ths and work ya half sped beat around it. oh and mabey layer a rim over the top of it.

ive used a clavia nord before loved it so versatile and really nice to use wish i had the cash to buy 1 though. it was at collage i used it. (when i did my music tech degree)
and the best thing about it is what ever you make on it ya can use with the discovery pro vsti which is awsome.

yea i dont layer my kicks i do layer me snares though try and get like a high snare low snare and a mid rangy 1 eq them all together and add a plate verb aswell oh and compress them all together aswell. and i think the motion sample packs are great.
