Re: FLPs

I'd recommend searching YouTube for "Dubstep Drum Tutorial" videos. There's a shit-ton of them out there.

Re: length of songs?

That really depends on what I'm trying to achieve with the track I'm working on. If it's a bullshit, "writing for writing's sake" brostep track, then I tend to make it fairly simple, which gets repetitive if it's not limited to 3-4 minutes. More concentrated efforts tend to turn out longer...

Re: fl+dblue_Glitch

dBlue Glitch is a royal piece o' crap. I know one of the guys who developed it. When I first met him, I told him I wanted to slap him for it.

You just described a bunch of vocal samples as a "drum break". Perhaps you should consider that as the start of your problems.

Re: FIRST Attempt at a track FEEDBACK please

WHEN WE DON'T GIVE FEEDBACK TO PEOPLE POSTING TRACKS IN THE WRONG PLACE IT ISN'T TO BE DICKS FOR NO REASON IT'S BECAUSE IF YOU GIVE FEEDBACK TO ONE PERSON IT MAKES THE NEXT N00B THAT COMES ALONG THAT MUCH MORE LIKELY TO DO EXACTLY THE SAME THING. For fucks sake, is this really not locked yet? This ...

Re: FIRST Attempt at a track FEEDBACK please

Hey i just started this track yesterday its not finished but i think its ok for my first track wanted to get some feedback though thanks. Unlike some of the biters in this forum, I tend not to jump on the "attack the n00b" bandwagon unless I see a good enough reason to. You broke a forum ...

Mellowish Remix - Feedback Appreciated

This really was the result of a bout with writers' block, so I wouldn't call this a proper production effort. The original track that is the basis of this "remix" is one of the default projects that is included with FL Studio: 4one - Surrealism (Original) I exported the majority of the ori...

I've achieved a sound that is remarkably similar to - though not the same as -the sound in the mentioned track, using the Sytrus VST in FL Studio; though I doubt that helps you at all. :6:

Here's an "in-house" guide. I always reference this thread whenever I start worrying about equalizing: http://www.dubstepforum.com/guide-frequ ... t1626.html

MASSIVE (not the VST) Sample Resources

In my daily perusal of the 'Net for samples, I stumbled upon a few sources hosted by Textfiles.com. I'm still searching through them, but as of this moment, I have yet to find any percussion or instrument samples - however, there ARE a lot of QUALITY samples to be found. Enjoy! http://cd.textfiles.c...

Funabashi - "Daylight (One-Winged Angel's Twilight Mix)"

I've been a long-time lurker on these forums, but this is my first posting as far as production efforts go. It's a remix of "Daylight" by Funabashi - the original is a deep, progressive trance track, and is personally one of my all-time favorites. I wanted my remix to reflect the mood of t...
