Re: How To Make This Sound - January 2012
Hey guys!
I've never heard this sound before, and i hope that someone has an idea of how to recreate it.

It appears at 1:46 and 1:49
Thanks in advance!
I was thinking the same thing earlier... so I made a patch in massive.

@Burgeamon - I had my head nodding the entire time. I really like the chords in the intro. The levels sound mixed pretty well. Sounds pretty professional! Good job!
@DJ Raynes - Your track is pretty heavy. Your kick sounds drowned out by the sub though. With some EQ, it will sound even more awesome ...

Re: Studio set up question
I love my KRK's. dont worry about the sub-48hz. They aren't too bass heavy.
But i cheked out the saffire usb interface and it is lacking the XLR outputs... Just a heads up.

Sorry for the bump but I have been searching everywhere for the name of the tune that comes between Square Albert and Hot Shoe Shuffle. I believe it is a Skream and Benga track. Anyone???

Re: Finding a scale around G#, A, and A#
This is probably the most useful thing I have downloaded in ages.
If you have Ableton, this could be a godsend.
It is a chord and scale project file.

Yeah, for now. I just like hearing others opinions since my set up isn't exactly ideal.
I enjoy criticism.

I started working on a prog house collab with my friend.
I tried to make a heavy, and full sounding kick that fits nicely with snare.
Let me know what you guys think!

Re: How To Make This Sound - January 2012
here is the tune I am working on with that kick^^
its basically just a short intro and a loop.
how does the kick sound?
I have OCD when it comes to producing. everything must be perfect before I move on to the next segment...

Re: How To Make This Sound - January 2012
I am trying to make a kick like the one in this deadmau5 tune.
It sounds full and "warm."
Whenever I am eq'ing a kick to try to get it to sound like this (not clicky), it sounds dull.
I usually scoop out the mids, from like 300 hz, to 2-3k hz. I then layer it with an eq'd 808.
What do you guys ...

jimbeaux: diggin your track. sounding pretty evil.
Dub Scout: really impressed with your track! a lot going on but it sounds good. might need some eq'ing on the high end so everything sits nicely!

The talking bass in this koan sound is next level!!!
I am just curious what you guys think their technique is for this.
It sounds like FM8, but I am such a noob when it comes to additive synthesis.
