Re: Live dubstep bands

It sounds horrible and unnecessary in most cases, at least in my opinion.

i'm sorry but this is such a retarded opinion, i don't know if you're into watching bands but they can be so much more engaging and fun to watch than a dj playing records, you can't beat the live sound which bands bring to ...

Re: ibeats

No. Just. No.

1. Earbuds (in-ear head phones) have no low end response. The physical size of the speaker diaphragm is the cause of this.
2. Not flat-rate at all
3. Way overpriced, you're paying for Dr. Dre to slap his name on ipod earbuds

I recommend a good pair of akgs or grados instead :W:

Re: Skrillex is a sampler

it's resampling. easy to learn, easy to get really good results if you try it enough times, hard to master / get repeatedly good results

Re: Is everyone cut out for music?

I know this may sound funny, but perhaps you're trying to hard to think up a track? I find the best tunes come accidentally, then again not saying my music is particularly amazing, just saying there's a certain zen quality in, not forcing the art of production upon yourself, but instead just letting ...

Re: As you get better...

The "any sound that's in your head" kind of deal, is a bit over rated, I think. Most of the sounds in your head, you've already heard before somewhere. If you just let yourself be creative, and not worry about a certain sound, you may just come up with something WAY cooler!

Re: How to improve drum production?

OP, i'm quite the opposite actually. I can't play drums for shit or hold a steady rhythm on the sticks to save my life, but if i hear a beat i can almost instantly reproduce it in a sequencer. I guess it's all a byproduct of growing up on tracker programs :P

Re: Naming tunes

@Ketamine i love the sentence naming jawns as well. Def try to name my tunes like that since it's the most descriptive and interesting. Though, my tunes usually turn out to be named "Untitled65", "Untitled 74" etc. etc.
