Biggest tune on n64?

Just went back to listen to the quake II menu theme and I could only imagine this with a load of bass under it. It would be a massive massive tune.

Re: Tribal/groovy dubstep

Mala's new tune Tribal that was played last night on rinse fits this post perfectly. In my opinion it is one of his best songs ever. If anyone managed to get a recording of that lemme know, I would greatly appreciate it. September it just a little to far away....

What are the most up to date monitors/subs

What would you guys say the best monitors and subs are at the moment. I am looking for the most up to date or best speakers out there. I am not looking for some crazy shit like 100k wilson audio shit. Specifically what I am looking for is, something any of the great bass weight artists would use in ...

Re: Whats the craziest thing you have ever witnessed?

I have four crazyish things. These are in order of date.

First one happened in about 6th grade this stupid ass kid came running out of the showers, slipped and cracked his tail bone. Luckily he had shorts on. The thing that really got me there was the sound it made when his ass hit the ground ...

I haven't been here long but from what I have seen, there are not many tunes that come through here with this quality. Nice work.

Incoming noob step.

Alright, for starters I just started producing about 4 weeks ago, this is an intro for a song. I made this intro two days ago and I decided it is time to actually see what people think of my work and what I need to fix.

I honestly think the main problem with this is the drums, they just dont work ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

Everyday I get frustrated at my lack of progress.

Every morning I decide I'll try again and continue.

Every now and again I make a breakthrough.

That's what keeps me going, those rare but beautiful moments when it all comes together.

If you aren't progressing, then there are several ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

You've been making music for 3-4 weeks and you're gettin' fed up? haaa! It took me at least 18 months to make something worth listening to more than once!

Ohk thats good to know, for some reason I thought most of the people here are pretty new to it also and are making all of these songs that are ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

@ OP. You will find yourself becoming far less overwhelmed, and much more enthusiastic with every new thing you learn. I dont know how long you have been producing, but it doesnt sound like long to me.

Legendary put it well, take that advice and get to writing and finishing some choons mayne ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

(Just saw Ledge touched on this as well but I already typed it) Another helpful thing is, when you're in the zone (often when you first start a track) don't waste all your energy on sound design. You don't want to spend all your creative time tweaking a snare. You don't need the sounds to be ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

Stop making sounds and drum beats and write songs!

I just thought about it and what is the point of me making good sounds when I don't know where to place them. I always hated shitty sounding synths but I guess I need to learn the basics first.

I think I am going to start unplugging my xbox ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

I don't think anyone keeps themselves interested.. I think they just are interested! I know some days I can spend hours messing around(coming up with nothing) and not get bored.. and other days I'll sit down for 5min and get pissed that nothing goods come out yet!
If you only want to work an hour ...

Re: How to keep yourself interested?

Maybe it's not for you...

Ohh I sure hope not I really want to get good at this. I think if I were to remove everything in my room that i am tempted to touch. Xbox and shit like that then I would actually be able to get somewhere. I think my main problem is I don't know where to go next, I will ...
