Re: The Reese Bass Thread

not really a reece per-se. I thought id try the reece de-tuning trick on sine waves for a reecy-sine.

sine sub in the center & 2x more sine waves de-tuned with FX on

Soundcloud

not sure if i would use it in a track though

Re: Ableton library problem. moving samplers preset to a new

ahh no worries, problem solved!

i should of known there was something weird about ableton automatically saving copy's of the samples.. turns out "collect files on export" in preferences was set to "always", duh

Re: Ableton library problem. moving samplers preset to a new

tried that but i am using the latest version of ableton on the new HD, it automatically makes copies of the samples along with the preset. i dont want to save extra copy's of the samples, i just want to re-direct the location of the missing samples, if that makes sense?

Ableton library problem. moving samplers preset to a new HD

Hey guys

Bit of a problem here

I use 128's (instrument racks with 128 samplers in, each containing a different sample). I have a whole bunch of these 128s saved. but recently i got a new hard drive.

I installed win7 and ableton on this new hard drive, as well as keeping them on my old hard drive ...

Re: Bit Depth, Sample Rate, and processing audio etc

ok sorry to revive this thread, but im having a problem with something.

i think i understand sample rates & bit depth, but im not sure about which i should use for re sampling.

say i make a bass by layering 3 synths together. 1 sub, 1 middy range, and 1 higher range & with stereo width. I then ...

Re: Delete your samples

I started something in Sept.

I decided i had had enough of making not so great sounding tracks, i figured it was down to my sample selection.

I decided to organize my entire 80-120GB beast of a sample library. I basically wanted all my kicks (for example) from all my sample packs in a single kicks ...

presonus studio one "tuner" alternative?

I watched a tutorial by Audio last week, and he was using presonus studio one, there was a plugin for studio one called "tuner",

this plug shows you the key of a sample you are playing in real time, im just wondering if anyone knows of any vst alternatives to this plug. It looked like a very handy ...

Re: quick question about Mono summing

abletons utility cant make something mono.

when you set the width to 0% your just deleting the sides, and leaving the middle. which is not the definition of mono.

mono is when the sides and the middle, are only played in the middle. both left and right speakers playing the same exact thing ...

quick question about Mono summing

just a quick question..

im just wondering what happens when a stereo signal is made mono, for example when i use abletons utility plug set to mono on a bass with chorus on it.

the question is what happens to the signal? is the left and right summed to the center, or is it only the left OR ...

Re: I think I'm retarded.

looking at the waveform i wonder if you limited the heck out of everything.

I only have 3 limiter presets I made. Which are probably entirely wrong and squeeze the hell out of the track, now that I think about it.

1. Max Vol but hitting the master vol at -3 decibals.
2. Max Vol, 0 decibals.
3 ...
