[Feedback & Download?] some sort of [Experimental slow]
http://soundcloud.com/patrickchampagne/its-horrible I'd really like feedback of any type, I dicked around with all sorts of parameters and macro controls, as well as used sounds like coughing and coins being rubbed together as atmospherics. Also I don't like grime and filth, would it still be label...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
Makerowner, I think you should lower the volume of the first non percussive instrument that comes in, when additional things begin to enter the mix they're a bit drowned out by the first one Coreygoesrawr I like the track, I can't think of anything negative to say about it And Sprayyypaint, the perc...

Re: Bassline Stabs?
Both work! I typically use an lfo because you can choose the wave type, considering one cycle of a sawtooth at desired tempo is the same as an opening envelope set to linear mode.
that way you can switch between wave forms and see what sounds the most wicked

Re: Impulse (Ableton)
Is this for a midi clip or just when you're clicking the trigger in impulse. If you're hearing this when it's playing a midi clip it could be because the note velocity is full up to the top. Impulse loads samples with velocity settings enabled, unlike drum rack

......sound, not the bassline I was listening to the village and it sounds like everything made of metal, not just the bass. How does one go about doing that? I would think he'd need to do a similar process to all of his audio. I don't necessarily wanna make a song like him, but it'd be cool to appl...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
@ Ibscotty: I like the tune, maybe you could add another complimentary melody or harmony? @dannydubstep: I dig the playing with minimal types of bass, reminds me of flux pavillion @nonxero: sounds tight, like it could build up to a dnb drop at any time So basically I started this song today, it's sh...

Re: Mastering a Track
Mastering is generally referred to as the final stage of production where you check to make sure all the levels are equal, and that one track will flow to the next without big song gaps or volume changes. Are you sure you're not thinking of how to do a mixdown to make it sound bamf?

The proper time to flange
Sigh, I don't know what it is but it just sounds so disgusting to me, not to mention it sticks out like a sore thumb. So far the only time I've found it to be used in a decent way is when resampling by slapping a lite dose of it on the mid or high bands.
When do you guys flange?

Re: Anyone running Ableton on PC laptop without lag/sound pr
I'm running windows 7 on an hp and it runs crystal usually. Occassionally it will have short spikes towards the very end when I start dropping things like harmonic exciters and stereoimagers on almost all of the tracks, you know the final parts. Whenever this happens the best bet is freeze a track, ...

Re: List your AIM user name - 2011
So I'm new to the whole aim scene, it looks like it added people automatically no questions asked. Will it ask these people if they want to allow me to be their contact or will I have to send them an IM to know I added them

longshot, but go to the global settings tab and turn off external sync, you'll have to set the bpm manually though if you're lfoing

on one of my tracks I fixed it by using a 90000+ sample rate instead of 48000, shitty, but it fixed my bass which was having similar problems

Re: Sugarbytes Wow wow sound... wow
Basically I was hoping to have a yoy sound that would have an effect similar to using an lfo on a lowpass filter, a sound that's drastic and basically highjacks the sound. This is cliche, but how would you go about obtaining a doctor p style yoy like in sweet shop or sick tonight. Also I snooped aro...

Sugarbytes Wow wow sound... wow
What are some decent settings to put the vowel filter on to make it basically highjack the sound and make it very noticeable. From experimenting the best route I've seen so far is to put the filter after all the resampling is done outside of the split frequencies so it encompasses the entire synth, ...
