Re: Rise and Dine - Let her know (hard/brostep?)
I love your kick! Old me would have loved your synth, but I find it a little noisy now although I can definitely see why people would like it and I can appreciate that. Funny samples, over all good work!

Re: Paradoze - Confuse Ray [dubstep electronic]
I liked it, sometimes I think the synths got a little messy. Also is it just me or do the drums seem wider then your synths?

@DreadFubk This is awesome :O Love the drumstep vibe, I think you kick needs to be more defined. It's definitely lost in the mix there.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for February, 2011
@b_brooks I dont really know what to say since that really isn't my genre. but even though its a very mellow song i think it still needs some breaks in there. You know maybe just have a melody go for a while then bring in the percussion. But i did enjoy it

@ paravrais Not my style but I can appreciate what you do, I have a couple of friends that would like this, good job.
@thierry_le_dj Nice and clean sounding, good pace. Although I could do with less distortion, thats just personal preference ;)

@lostcosmonaut That song put me in a great place man, really good vibes. Although I think your kick can stand out at times more, maybe try to eq some stuff to let it through? Other than that I really enjoyed it.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for February, 2011
@barbearik Great intro but EQ your synths a little to remove some of that muddy lower end
@MRP5 Awesome very original, but I think you could improve on the melody, make it a little bouncier if you know what I mean.

Lead bassline beefing help
So this is the track I'm working on right now:
http://soundcloud.com/derrek68/un-named
The 2 second intro is there just to have some sort of build up and I'm aware there is no sub bass this doesn't concern me right now.
Anyways the lead synths sound OK but lack a certain UMF or "beefyness" I was ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
Thanks for the words of wisdom. I made things simpler, worked on the mixdown (although it is still a little quiet for now) and broke up the bassline with my percussion.
Heres what I presented before http://soundcloud.com/derrek68/resample2
And heres what I have now. http://soundcloud.com/derrek68 ...
