Re: DMZ 6th Birthday?

Journey home was interesting, due to engineering works and trains not running till late I had to get a bus from Brixton to Kings Cross, then a bus from Kings Cross to Finsbury Park, train from Finsbury Park to New Barnet and finally, a bus from New Barnet back home to Welwyn Garden City. Took an ...

Re: DSF gettin' twitter hate

It's funny, I actually searched I_Skream into twitter search and it was 90% tweets defending him and calling out those criticizing.

Big deal out of nothing tbh, it's such a small minority I'm amazed the big names have let it effect him so much.

I had a look at Twitter on my phone waiting for ...

Fully agree. Same reason progressive and different stuff like Night Slugs, James Blake, Ramadanman and Mount Kimbie is so poorly regarded round here.

Re: Skream

To those saying 'we're the ones who buy your records and make you money', it's worth pointing out the bulk of their fanbase is no longer dubstep enthusiasts. It's radio 1 listeners. It's always been a bit of a rubbish argument, but it's now one I don't think can realistically be made anyway.

Re: Skream

The way I see it, it sounds like those who had an issue with the set weren't even there...

For what it's worth, I didn't enjoy it and there were a lot of wincing glances between people around the dancefloor. It did get a very lukewarm reaction by and large behind the front rows of topless ...

Re: DMZ 6th Birthday?

Progression doesn't necessarily mean technically, just because some of the "brostep" (hate that term) tracks aren't as "deep" as the dubstep that seems to be popular amongst most people on here doesn't mean it's any less respectable.

A lot of people who are heavily into rock or metal absolutely ...

Re: DMZ 6th Birthday?

I just can't get my head around WHY they played the songs they did, especially at DMZ, and then get all aggy on twitter about how people need to move on from 2005, when people expressed their disappointment. There are SOOOO many songs from 2010-2011 that they could have played without going down ...

Re: DMZ 6th Birthday?

Also.....can someone tell me when Youngsta and KM came on? I swear I was in room 1 for almost the whole night yet I can't remember them coming on? Haha and I wasn't even that pissed.

Rough set times:

Distance & Tunnidge - 21:30 - 22:30
Chef and Joe Nice - 22:30 - 23:30
VIVEK and Goth Trad - 23 ...

Re: DMZ 6th Birthday?

Just got home. Still haven't been to sleep.

I don't think anybody was camping. I wandered past about 6 and it was completely dead. Ended up queueing from about quarter past seven and being pretty much at the front. Saw everyone in room 1.

Great night, although it definitely tailed off, though ...

Re: DMZ 6th Birthday?

Three friends have now bailed on me completely independently of each other due to lack of funds. My experiences of going to raves alone thus far have been mixed (great when everyone's going mental - horrible between sets/during cigarette breaks) but still very tempted. Reality is I'll have to be ...
