Wonky/Moog/Funk Dubstep?

What I'm talking about are the likes of Reso's expansion ratio and B Bravo's Comuta Love. They have quite a lot of moog saws and squares in them and are often quite funky ;). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kUth-DO-BM&feature=re%C2%ADlated http://soundcloud.com/biggls/light-bends http://www.yout...

Re: Kid Around - Erection Jackson (130 bpm ish)

intro started to get a bit boring but i can see why you made it that length. Nice grooves. Might be able to bit a little more lo end to the kick. just a tad. other than that it's sounding sick bro :)

@panleft DUUUUDE. Love that shit. Can i haz DL? @dreadfunk wow thats coolio. Only thing i would say would be to make the 2nd drop a little more different from the first. @kushmane like the square arp. Needs moar SUB ;) but other than that it thought it was good. Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JANUARY 2011

I mean everything i say: @TRaffikz intro was siiiick, loved the drums. sick bass. SFX details were sweet as well dude! Keep it up. @ninthy4 no such a fan of brstep myself, but i could appreciate what you'd done with the vocals and the mix sounded nice n tight despite the distortion. @Cibiia was a bi...

Re: History of dubstep, When did you join in?855- 8

I remember hearing Skream at like 3 in the morning on some dinky forum somewhere. Didn't think much of it at the time. It wasn't till i heard Reso about two years ago that i re listened to stuff like benga, skream, coki and burial and i was hooked.

Filth Haters

I was thinking, people who hate this newer 'filthy' dubstep always rant on about how much they dislike it etc. but filth lovers don't really hate on deep dubstep. Just a funny observation. Plox no flame warZ hat3r5.

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JANUARY 2011

@Darkali You have some intersting ideas, I thought the main wobble was a little basic, and became a little repetitive. In terms of mastering, see if you can find Reso's masterclass, he does a fantastic job explaining it all. I'm using the Sonalksis Compressor and Dynamic EQ which help my tracks alot...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JANUARY 2011

@Biggls: So deep, love the atmosphere on the intro. The sweeps are epic too whatever you've done with them, the drums are nice and fresh...all in all a nice track indeed. thanks heaps. with the sweeps, a minute amount of flanging or phasing can transform any sweep and make them much more fluid, it'...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JANUARY 2011

Thanks for the feedbax. Yh, I am well aware the intro takes it's time, but I felt it puts the song in the right mood to begin with. @Topmo3 that was sick dude. The verbed wobble sounded sweet, and the little melodies sounded sweet. Only thing I might change would be to change the sub up a bit more, ...

LOL

It's the reason so many other genres have fallen into sad cliches, simply because people were too stubborn to try anything new. That said Skrillex is overrated and we need more people like Reso on the scene. That man is god.

Re: new skrillex

Skrillex is the new Mt Eden, and frankly it's kind of undeserved. I can understand why people don't like him, but he has done other stuff like he made a prog house song i believe? As for teh dirteeh shit, I don't mind it so much so long as it sounds good and has a sub. DON'T think I'm on skrillex's ...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- DECEMBER 2010

Hello all, I'm neew to this forum. Thought hows a better way for people to see how I am than with a track? @S0VEREIGNTY loved how deep and heavy this was, the reversed cymbal in the first drop was offputting for me but I luurved that sub presence. Sick sample and the robotic noises in the second dro...
