Hey wanted to thank everyone here for all the tips.. been producing for about 5 months.. I wanted to post up a little dubstep "phrase" Ive been working on... Any kind of help would be appreciated.. I feel like Im having a bit of trouble with the volume levels and maybe some of the sub bass ...

A little advice on this phrase

Just a guess but it sounds to me like the main synth sound is routed to an LFO with a ramp, and speed set pretty high

You dont have to re-sample to get that sound. Sounds like a sub bass layer created with a sine or saw wav. Lower the cutoff filter and add some low end saturation and compression to fatten it up.

Just sounds like a bunch of heavily detuned saw waves at different octaves.
