Re: Black Sun is the best album of 2011

2562, Pinch & Shackleton and Rustie in a tie for me....tough to choose one when they sound so different from each another.

LV, Desolate, Anstam and Martyn albums were pretty good as well.

Also, Track of the Year : Blawan - Shader

Re: Pangaea - Hex

Yeah, Pangaea is fucking great and so is "Hex". Not feeling the badman sample, but the rest of the tune is too good for me to care. Probably my second favorite Pangaea track after "Inna Daze".

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!

Episode four was definitely a return to form. First three felt a bit "off" except for that one long, amazing scene with Gus in the lab.

Also this is the first episode in a long time where I didn't mind Skylar.

Re: Deep Housey Track for Feedback

Hate the song you've sampled, love the way you've sampled it. This doesn't really sound much like deep house, but whatever it is [slow mo house?], I like it. Great atmosphere, solid beats and lovely melancholy vibe.

Re: F**k You Gerald!

Love the track title and sample. As far as the track itself...I like the constantly evolving wobbles. It's been a while since I've heard a track like this that isn't just a constant assault to the ears with the midrange, so I appreciate this. The drums are decent if not very interesting, but I ...

have the Mav's never won the (national) championship? correct me if i'm wrong, but this could be a huge year for them if that's true.

They have never won an nba championship. Only been to the finals once in 2006 when we were up 2-0 against Miami and proceeded to choke and lose the series. This ...

Sticking to just artist albums:

Martyn - Great Lengths
Jack Sparrow - Circadian
Mount Kimbie - Crooks and Lovers
Dusk + Blackdown Vs. Grievous Angel - Margins Music : Redux
2562 - Aerial
2562 - Unbalance [I'd put in Fever too, but that's stretching the term "dubstep" too thin by most standards ...

Re: [feedback]&[Free320] Ex-President - Blip

This is some funky shit. Almost sounds a bit like minimal gone Uk funky. The shufflling percussion is great. Gives the track a weird, unbalanced feel. The titular "blips" are...crazy? I can't really think of a better adjective right now, but I love them.

Re: Deathtrap- Time [Grime]

Sheeeeit, this is big. Those drums are absolutely massive, as is the sub. Musically, this is pretty simple but it absolutely works. Well done.

To be fair, the last 22 seconds or so are pretty weak though.

Re: OGP - Shimma

Okay first off, I definitely have to say that this is interesting. When the song started off I was expecting some dark tribal Jack Sparrow like tune but then the synth came in. Really like the sound of the claps as well as what sounds like vinyl crackle...minor things that I think deserve mention ...

Re: Luthor - Peachy (Minimal Garage Style)

Really, really good stuff. Solid drums, a nice vocal sample and I love the synths and the bassline. One minor criticism would be your work on some of the transitions. That one fx/lfo sound is used way too often.

Fuck, this sounds big and I'm listening to it on pretty shitty headphones. Love the intro and the mood of the entire track. The synth you bring in at the break is amazing as well. Honestly, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this one. Well done.
