Re: the working poor in the US stand up

Yeah you can. My grandfather is English, so my dad has full citizenship and I get an ancestral visa. After 5 years of living in England I'll gain full citizenship.

Re: the working poor in the US stand up

If you've got skills it's easier. But then you could freelance from home? My mate gets a bit of business locally but 90% of his money comes through his website.

Do you need a visa to go to the UK from SA though?

I have an ancestral UK visa.
The major reason for my move to the UK is because I ...

Re: the working poor in the US stand up

You think you'll get a job in the UK? Think again mate
 This, skilled people here are finding it hard getting unskilled work, the competition for low paid jobs is a joke and jobs that actually pay a wage are like moon dust.
I understand what you guys are saying, though that's how it is here ...

Re: the working poor in the US stand up

I earn South African minimum wage, working in a retail store. 6 days a week, with 1 weekend off a month. No clothing packages are provided so I'm forced to buy clothes to work in. Bosses do everything they can to fuck us out of our incentives, I've never been paid my incentives that I've earned. I ...

Re: Kwaito/African House

You'll only be able to find releases of the bigger labels like Soulcandi online to purchase, the way the culture is here, people mostly buy cd's because the majority of deep house fans can't afford the internet.

Re: Trance is good and you know it

Here in South Africa we have regular outdoor psytrance festivals, usually from saturday morning till sunday night, some going for 4 or more days. Multiple floors, intense lighting and huge rigs in tranquil locations like game reserves and mountain ranges. Very open drug dealing and taking, shitloads ...

Re: shit you can't scrimp on

Heinz beans are pretty rubbish compared to All Gold and Koo beans. Spar beans aren't bad either.. In Europe, the Carrefour discount range is pretty quality, even the Carrefour brand lager is decent, and I remember paying 4 Euro for something like 36 Carrefour lager in Marseille.

Poise is excellent, don't get me wrong anybody. Definately worth investing in if you use Reaper.

Re: Reaper users - how are you doing your drums?

What I mean is, say for example I'm layering a kick drum, I'd like to HP/LP the individual layers on the pad. You can only HP/LP the overall kick that the 2 kicks make together. Linking pads sounds like it'd work, thanks for that. I'm quite enjoying layering in audio, I may keep things this way. It ...

Reaper users - how are you doing your drums?

For a long time now I've been using Poise and sequencing my drums via midi.. I can't hp/lp on each layer of a drum pad though, which I need to do. I've been rewiring the Drum Rack from my Ableton to do this. Anybody sequencing in audio? I tried this method yesterday and it gives good results, things ...

What kind of hats do you guys that say you hate snap backs and 5 panels wear then? Cowboy hats? Curious. Anyways, some girls can pull this off. 99 % look stuuupid as fuck. I pretty much have a snapback permanently on my head. It helps keep my thoughts in my head and focus better.

Haha it's like people lives are a Caspa tune. Make music for a year, and "Where's my money?!" I've been making music for 5 years, "Where's my money?" - In another job. Only those who've mastered their craft, or gotten lucky, make money from music. Master your craft and you'll be able to make money ...
