there are a lot of people who love the sound but if the girls weren't turning up to the shows you know 75% of the guys would loose interest straight away TRUST ME!

I watched about a minute of the video. Oh dear.

He raised a valid point in the sense that Dubstep is thriving at least partly because girls can get into it. Not because they're stupid, because the scene is about enjoying yourself, the music and having a good time, and therefore accessible to girls ...

Does anyone know of any venues in Birmingham that play this kind of music? Just to clarify when i say Downtempo/Ambient/2-Step Dub I mean artist like Burial, Synkro, Faib, Clubfoot, Boxcutter etc.
