Re: Vocal "Cover" Copyright questions

I really appreciate the responses. Very insightful information! I'll take a closer look into these. Also, if it were to be a digital release, would I ONLY have to go through the clearance sites? Or would I still have to obtain permission from her estate? And also, from what Shum had said, would any ...

Vocal "Cover" Copyright questions

I'm currently working on a dubstep "cover" of Feeling Good by Nina Simone, I make the entire backtrack but have my own vocalist do her own rendition of the vocals to use. What is the copyright on this? I have no knowledge or experience over copyrighted material (which I'm trying to learn and ...

I'm trying to figure out how to get that sort of down ramp-ish vibrato thing going on in the synth at 1 minute. It has a very shallow vibrato type thing on it and everything I've been putting on mine gives it a really dramatic deep change in the cutoff ...

Re: The 'help me make this sound!' thread

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9o2LHSO6IA

The sound I'm interested in is mainly that lead synth, I've become obsessed with that sound. I'm sure it's simple enough but I still haven't worked my whole way around massive yet. Could someone give me a quick rundown? I'd appreciate it.

And if anyone ...

Re: Gross, sporatic and different tune, need feedback

sounds really nice! i enjoy the synths and set up at the drop. maybe bring the sub up a little? give the synths a little more power behind them. thats the only thing i feel it could use. maybe have a very simple percussion line going after a few bars of the synth, just in the background to accompany ...

Hey guys,

this is the final edit of my remix. I just want some feedback to see if I need to make any changes before I send it to my friend for mastering..

Let me know what you think! I can really use the feedback!

Yves Larock - Rise Up (*Heavy* Kromly Mix Up)

New work in progress here, a remix of Yves Larock "Rise Up"

Just real basic skeleton of the tune but let me know what you think of it so far, trying to make it decently heavy and hit pretty hard.

Re: Take Me to the Sun (Chill, ambient)

Cheers guys.

what do you recommend me do with the wobble in your opinions? what appeals to you as listeners?

also, if i didnt use them in a sampler (might be a novice technique but i put them all just on the same audio track), are there any other methods I could use to remove the clicks? Or would ...

Take Me to the Sun (Chill, ambient)

Looking for some feedback on one of my newest projects. I want it to sound as good as it can! Am going to play this at an open mic night on campus in two days to show people who I am and the music I make. I've only been doing this for about 5 months so I need as much feedback as possible to better ...

Gradually Increase Tempo in Logic

I haven't had too much luck finding information on how to do this, if there is already a thread somewhere you can just point me to it!

I'm curious on how I would have a song start at 140 bpm and then make the tempo change over a set amount of time to speed up to a final faster tempo (I would also ...

Ocean Bump (Chilled out/Groove)

One of my more chilled out songs, with a little bouncy dancyness to it. Been producing for about 5 months now and just kind of started as a fun project for some nice, easy on the ears music.

Might play for an audience this week at an open mic, so feedback is important and highly appreciated!
