Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
Weedcali: Sounds really epic. Good work dude, you could build up some more tension before the drop and it'd sound a lot doper when the bass drops. Cool vocals, too. The groove at 2:19 is nasty, btw. filthy_: Not bad for 3 weeks. The intro's really dissonant and dark, but doesn't really go anywhere w...

Re: Need help with Sytrus in FL9
I still can't figure this out, but I had an idea.. Click on tools (which is the wrench in the top bar of the automation editor, second to the left), then "Scale Levels", then adjust "center" so that the oscillation lines up right. But it doesn't stay that way after I center it, i...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
@soosh: The cut-up part seems to be to focal point of the song, so try adding some variation to it and make it into some kind of progression. It sounds pretty sick right now, especially with the shaker drum groove. The chord it seems to be repeating is a 'B'. Try bringing it down to a "G" ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
@mindcontrol: Sounds real tight, this is gunna make a good backing to something. I agree with Mta about adding a progression. If you could juxtapose some kind of progression using the dub sounding chords from the start of the song and the piano in the second half, that could come out sick. Looking f...

Re: Need help with Sytrus in FL9
or you could just get massive and avoid the sytrus headaches. love you guys. I have massive, but I like some of the less overpoweringly intense bass wobbles you can make with Sytrus. They're good for writting parts where wobbles play more of a secondary role. have you tried to reset the tension I d...

Re: Need help with Sytrus in FL9
Well it looks like you have pointed out your own problem. You can see in the circled areas on the Sytrus screen shot that the waves in the respective screen shots are not in phase. It looks like the bottom one is slightly ahead of the top one. I think you can use on of those knobs in the bottom lef...

Need help with Sytrus in FL9
I'm using Sytrus to make bass wobbles in a song. It was working good up until a few days ago, when something I can't explain happened. For some reason, when I try to automate oscillation speeds in the event editor the oscillations are no longer synchronized. They seem to be off by the slightest marg...

Re: Over 9000 Dubstep Remix
As for some legit advice about this song. Try not using the "Its over 9000" bit continuously. Try sampling it once at the start of the wobble part, then just let the bass wobbles kick in and it'll sound sick.

Pretty good. You should have incorporated Oprah's "over 9000 penises and they're all raping children" bit into this, tho = P

Re: The Sauce Remains the Same
Bump. I know its a rough track, I was still learning my way around FL9 at the time. When I first finished it I was decently proud of 2:55-onwards. But my style has really started to solidify over the past month, hopefully you guys will see that in my next release. Basically, I'm just looking for any...

The Sauce Remains the Same
This was the first song I wrote. Its an electronic song with a jam kindof feel and some dub tendencies. Its kinda old, finished it a few months back, but I'd still like some feedback on it from you guys.
