Re: How to get a track to 320kbps
I made this thread about a day ago and just came back to it to read all the madness... Obviously I didn't explain myself clear enough. Some of my tracks have been over-processed due to my "over-mastering" and they come out reading over 1100 kbps on my winamp player and have been rejected ...

Re: Bass hitting at -0???
Actually from what i know, Noisia do all their mastering themselves
And to the OP. It's no use to start analyzing mastered tracks this way.
As soon as a track is mastered the volumes are ofcourse not what they where in the DAW.
Thats what mastering does... Bring up the volume to the max

Create instrument racks like ableton in logic pro 9
Hey all, I'm wondering about something i can't seem to find clear info on. One of ableton's best options are the instrument racks. I could grab multiple synths and automate multiple sources with one macro. Now i work with Logic and want to do something similair. Im wondering if it's possible to use ...

Re: how to create this bass sound? (unitz, stinkahbell, etc)
Nothing special really. Im not at my studio atm but my strong guess is two oscs, sine or triangle waves, high pitched with alot of reso. Probably it has a slight lfo on the pitch, or it's pitchbend by hand in the daw. Lfo on filter low bass or band pass. That's it really. But to be onest i don't lik...

Re: Samplerates
Yes i have noticed at some other producers studio's it sound way more defined. The plugins run smoother and the quality is definitly better. I spoke to one of the best engineers in my city and he told me to work in a higher samplerate then 44.1. I noticed this indeed improves quality. See it like th...

Re: A question about drums, and compression
A duo core is already old... Could be it's not so fast as you think it is ;) 3 gb of ram is not much so i advise to boost things up (if you run 64 bit) Also think of the freeze function in your daw. this way you can freeze a track and while you cannot edit it at once you can always unfreeze and edit...

Re: Modulating Movement in Basslines
I mainly use a synth to create the basic sound i want with some movement but not to much (altough extreme movement can be nice too for really moving noises). Then i put fx on top to create the whole sound i want. Then i cut off the low end till about 120-150hz. And make a extra duplicate with the sa...

Re: driving your drums with sidechaining?
I wouldn't sidechain too much, you can also just do it manually or build around your kicks and snares. Sidechaining is a nice effect but too much sounds often more like "im lazy so.." Sidechaining your hihats.. i dont know about this onestly. I never do it cos i want my hats to be on top o...

Adding sub to mid bass techniques
Hey guys! I have a question about the way you add sub to your midrange. So i don't mean how to make a sub or mid cos after years of experimentation i can say i have my bassnoises well under control. :z: My "dillemma" is the following: When i make a bass i use a synth, create a melody and r...
