Re: Tunes you can't stop listening too.

Lately: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMpw1KHM1OI Not everyone's tastes, but whatever. I wouldn't still be into this shit at my age if I didn't acknowledge that my taste in music is strange. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSUfrx38b-U Not dubstep, but the fact that I'm still listening to this one ab...

Hot damn. Haven't seen Freq Nasty in about a decade. Last time I saw him (at Shelter, if that dates me) someone from the club pissed him off and he left the place about a half hour into his set.

Re: America vs UK

There's a hell of a lot more coming out of the UK, so you'll probably get better tracks overall coming out of the UK, but I like the median level from the US better. Part of that is probably just what I grew up with, being from the US. A lot of old gangsta rap influence and fidget house influence. I...

Re: Japanese Dubstep

Do you really speak that way? Mad crazy ? goth-trad is all u need really, if u survive his bass Agreed. But if you want there is Akira Takeshi, I've only heard one or two tracks from him and neither were for me. Edit: I did a little googling, turns out the guy is Wapanese. (He's not Japanese.) Also...

Re: USA dubstep producers

A lot of good ones posted already...in terms of pure production, I'd say 12th Planet is probably tops, even if he ain't much of a DJ, especially if you're looking for Jokeresque. Antiserum is a good shout too, though much harder and grimier. And even if they hang around here, I've been a big fan of ...

Screw that, Betamax. Or laserdiscs. I always wanted to tote around something that looks like a record but weighs like a bowling ball.

Re: dubstep is alive and thriving

Dubstep is way the hell bigger in NYC than DnB, UKG or breaks ever were. Which is to say, yes, dubstep is probably dying

Re: (NYC) 11/26 BFM @ Webster Hall Nero/501/Hellfire/Broken

Sick show :5: Glad 501 could finally make it stateside - was worth it, even if my whole body is sore today. Although, at one point, I thought there was no such thing as too dark. Broken Note changed that for me. Great set as usual from Hellfire. About the fifth time in a row I've seen them and that ...
