Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

@sean mansha Everything seems to be layered quite right, perfect use of compression for this particular style of music. Not sure if your patches are the same as the sub, but if not, maybe clean up the low end a bit on the patches. For a WIP, this is sounding like you have the main song elements down ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@LukeRaith Choon, mate. Proper chilled vibes, but I'm hearing a fair amount of hiss [could just be me hehe] Also, I'd say make the vox a bit brighter, and you have yourself a quality track, mate =] Good stuff!

@-boring Yes! Awesome vibes! It seems like the bass is overpowering the kick a bit ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@cheeky Heavyweight track!!!!! Also, epic syncopation with the wobbles. I must say, there's not much I can criticize on, this is pretty clean imo. NEEDS A RELEASE ASAP!!!

@xistenzbass Liking the deepness, maybe come down on those hats slightly? You have some clashing of the bass and kick, but can ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@Budspencertron Nothing to be ashamed of! This isn't really so generic, I'd say the only thing it really needs is a boost on the higher frequencies. Good stuff overall, mate.

@mtl6 What you have so far sounds great, I don't see how you can go heavy after such a light intro, but I do like how you ...

Re: [production bible 2] Soundcards

I know this probably sounds like a stupid question, but whats wrong with just using the audio out jack on my laptop? Also, I recently got a presonus firestudio, but havent been able to install it yet because Im using fruityloops through parallells on my macbook, and it gets all confused - does a ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

THANKS FOR ALL THE FEEDBACK

@Pyrez cheers mate. really like your wip. i reckon it would be worth rolling some low end off that sort of falling bass sound and maybe change up the synth in the intro. really like the little vocal thing or whatever it is. i think if you work on the mix it should be ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@Pyrez Bass is too much for me. A little treble outside the drums wouldn't be so bad. Sounds in the beginning could've been a bit more elaborate.

@Standby interesting. Quiet and peaceful. Very minimal. Repetitive but fun to listen to. Keep up the good work.

@ScarletCyanide Lack of bass in the ...

ScarletCyanide: i think its sounding great, atm cant wait to hear when theres more added to it.

Something that was in my head, that I finally got right in the DAW. Please, feedback is always welcomed, and don't be afraid to say anything negative, it's always a learning experience.

Your typical half hour mix

What's up fam! I've had this mix up for awhile now on soundcloud, and I'm going to be taking it down by November, so I thought I'd post it up here, and spread it around for all to hear! This mix was something I did on the fly, didn't really have a setlist in mind, just kinda threw a bunch of tracks ...
