Just use distortion more subtly, sometimes its better to use a few distortions with less mix then one cranked up on full.

Well, I'm busy with college and exams as well, so I can't really explain in very great detail, but your songs do have reese basses which sound 'alive'. For example, the song Shut Down. i dont know about patented but i do know emu is the go to for zplane, and if you listen to a lot of neurofunk youll hear resses being mangled by zplanes. billain for example :D Billain uses his own Z-Plane filter he made in FL, so if you research it you could possibly try and make something similar...

I use Albino 3 for all my rise and transition effects, I think with the noise oscillators and its mod matrix being so easy to use you can make sounds like this really quickly.
