Re: scanna - giants

intro is very emotive and suits the name of the song

didnt really flow into the buildup but it rarely does in dubstep

drop is huge, but doesnt really fit with the intro, also doesnt really need to

when the lead comes in again everything kind of gets tied together

i like it overall

Re: Tax Evasion(Dubstep)

nothing really pops out at me man its kinda bland

to make it sound more appealing though.... it doesnt sound that legit, doing the reverb thing will make it sound more legit,

Re: Tax Evasion(Dubstep)

well its not so much a dubstep specific thing as it is production in general, you want to push some things farther back into the mix with more reverb and leave other things closer the front with less reverb, delay has a similar effect but will change the feel of it set up a send track with a reverb ...

Re: Tax Evasion(Dubstep)

sounds pretty good man, the second bass in your drop (the screech) needs work it sounds corny, maybe some delay on it to push it back a little bit, then again your whole mix sounds pretty dry, its similar to what they want is filth by excision/datsik, pretty standard brostep honestly

Re: J-Hilla - River Runs Red (ethnic dungeony minimal)

its got that good creepy feel, reminds me of playing the second act in diablo 2 lol, drops about to come hold on. this is straight dubs. dark and creepy and i like it man nice im more into the brostep everybody here seems to hate so i don't have much to compare it to, but i like how it sounds. after...

Re: Attila-Happy, glitchy dubstep fun :)

The feel of the intro is pretty flamboyant, production quality is good, but honestly i wouldn't listen to it man its too out there, drop does not flow with the other part either it is abrupt and weird sounding idk about this one man, then the next part sounds like some epic hardcore song breakdown, ...

Re: Skeeter - Gangbanger [Heavy/140/bass/dubstep] Feedback p

i love that snare, the build up to the first drop is sick, i like the glitchy effects on that bass, the bass itself i feel could have some more mids or something. it just doesnt sound harsh enough. the song as a whole is sweet though

Re: Trash Fossil- I Had A...(Brostep,Dubstep)

Thats pretty sick man, only thing i can critique is the kick, it needs to be more prominent in the mix, i'd suggest parallel compression and distortion. other than that though the drop is sick and unique and i like the synths

Re: Coverage On The Internet

No, i use hits as a tool to see how many people are checking me out, i just want to hear my song played at a show. That would be the most satisfying feeling to me.. and i lol'd at most of the replies but i wonder if there is anyway that is less greasy

Coverage On The Internet

How do you guys promote your sounds? I'm talking about making the jump from 100-200 views on all of your songs to 1,000 - 10,000 and so on? Right now I only get views from people I show it too, on a forum and facebook/in person mostly. Where do you post your stuff? what kind of language do you use? ...

Vinyl vs. cdjs for dubstep

I believe my tunes are ready to be performed and I am looking into buying a nice setup. My buddy is willing to sell me two vestax pdx-2000s and a numark mixer for $500, i have another friend that will give me a serato box and all of the cables that i need for free, should i jump on it before somebod...
