Kind of a similar solution but I just discovered LFO studio for Lemur... pretty amazing, I'm working on my own version of it where LFO's (read:any automation) can be recorded from X/Y pads and played back, and since its all midi it's DAW independent

finally got to test out NI razor, wow that thing make some cool sounds... and the sound that comes out of it really doesn't need any extra processing since it can be so complex. not just for dubstep, but it sure seems like they had wobbles in mind when they made it. just wish it had custom LFO ...
